BE PROUD is a collection of handmade merit badges inspired by everyday idioms, that honour the things about ourselves both commonly celebrated and chastised.
This collection was started in 2007 as a tribute to a discarded Brownie sash found at a thrift store in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. The aim was to make badges that would be more near and dear, and hence less disposable, then those most familiarly earned. I illustrate, silkscreen, hand paint, hand embroider, and machine stitch each badge together, and daun each with a 1" pin back on the back.
At its peak the collection reached 66 different badges.
Below is the entire collection, divided into the ones currently being made, ones that are still in stock but will not be made again, and ones that have been officially retired. The current collection and those in their last run are all available through my Etsy site which you can visit HERE, or you can follow the links in the badge descriptions.
